Alexandra Shaw joins the University of Delaware as the Academic Advisor/Assistant Director of Advising with the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences. Alex earned a Master’s in Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs from West Chester University. She has gained a variety of experiences assisting students during her career in higher education. As an Academic Advisor, she helps students achieve their academic and personal goals. Alex can assist students with course scheduling and academic planning, understanding degree audits, identifying graduation requirements, connecting them to campus resources, and much more. She is also available to guide students who are struggling academically and help them get back on track.

 

Alex recommends checking in with an advisor at least once per semester to ensure academic requirements are being met. Her advice to students is to not be afraid to ask questions. We are here to help you make the best of your time at UD, so please do not hesitate to reach out!
