How Advising Works

Image Picker for Section 0

There are multiple sources of information available to our majors. You can maximize your advisement experience by doing the following:

Read your email & Blue Hen Success notifications

  • The Director of Advising and Assistant Director of Advising will email majors about group advising sessions, upcoming deadlines, and other important information.
  • This information will also be delivered by Undergraduate Academic Services (the Assistant Dean's Office for the College of Arts & Sciences) through Blue Hen Success.

When you have an advising question

  • Visit an advisor for in-person help. We have multiple advisors for different types of issues. See below for a list and click on the links for more information.

    • The Assistant Director of Advising can help you plan courses, solve registration problems, and refer you to additional resources.
    • The Neuroscience advisor can answer questions specifically about the Neuroscience curriculum and careers.
    • Faculty advisors and the Director of Advising can talk with you about big-picture issues like graduate school plans and career options.
