The peer advisors meet with students during daily office hours and organize panels about career options and graduate school admissions. The peer advising team is a group of advanced undergraduate students who are trained to:

• Help you answer basic registration and curriculum questions
• Help you plan a workable schedule for the semester 
• Teach you how to use UD's online resources such as UDSIS and Courses Search
• Help you know the major curriculum 
• Talk about being a major in our department
• Answer questions about workload in different classes

Peer advisors CANNOT add you to closed classes (see the Assistant Director for that) and they cannot give advice about graduate school or careers (see your faculty advisor or the Director of Advising for that).

All of these advisors are majors in our department, but they have specialized interests and backgrounds.

I am currently a senior here at UD and hope to attend graduate school next year to become a school psychologist. I am on the executive board for a club RSO here on campus as well as an active member of Greek life. In addition to peer advising, I am also a peer mentor for the FYS program.

Nicholas Imperato

Neuroscience B.S. Major

My goal is to eventually attend a medical school and study to become a neurosurgeon.  On campus, I am part of a variety of honor societies and clubs, including Nu Rho Psi, Phi Delta Epsilon and Taste of UD.  I also work in Dr. Griffin's research lab on campus as well as help Dr. Piatt, a neurosurgeon, conduct research at Nemour's A.I. duPont Hospital for Children.

Jacqueline King

I'm currently a junior in the Honors Program. On campus, I work as an English tutor, have done research in a neuroscience lab and at Christiana Hospital, and enjoy volunteering with Special Olympics (in addition to many other activities). After I graduate from UD, my goal is to go to medical school.

I truly enjoy the sciences and being involved on campus! I am also a CHEM107/108 Workshop Leader, Bio Ambassador, student in Dr. Roth's Behavioral Epigenetics Lab, and in clubs such as Puppy Raisers of UD, Project Sunshine. After UD, I plan to attend graduate school in Biology.

Jesse McCann

I am a research assistant in the Close Relationships and Health Lab on campus. I also serve on the executive board of the University of Delaware's chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. After graduation, I plan to continue my education in the Clinical Psychology field.
