Naoyuki Sunami Receives APF Graduate Student Scholarship

Nami Sunami, a doctoral student at Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Delaware, has been awarded an APF/COGDOP Graduate Student Scholarship of $2,000 through the American Psychological Foundation (APF) and the Council of Graduate Department of Psychology (COGDOP). This award is given annually to graduate students in psychology to support their research. 

Nami Sunami studies threats to belonging—such as social rejection and loneliness—and their consequences to human behavior, physiology, and health. The funding will be used for a project investigating physiological responses to belonging threats. His recent work tested the predictors of antisocial and prosocial behaviors following social rejection. He works at Dr. Lisa Jaremka's Close Relationship and Health Lab at the University of Delaware.
