Biography

Sam is a fifth-year PhD student in the IFSN lab, broadly interested in social neuroscience. Using a combination of univariate and network-based neuroscientific approaches, Sam's research examines how the intersection of multiple social categories can influence dynamics related to attention, social evaluation, and decision-making. Sam's research also explores the cognitive and neural precursors/correlates of racial prejudice and, more specifically, how violent right-wing extremism can arise from intergroup antipathy using both behavioral and neuroimaging methods.​​
