Background and Research Interests:
Although my research interests varied from creativity and intuition to attention and semantic memory, all of them are connected to one overarching interest – how people become aware of information they are not aware of yet and what role consciousness plays in this process. My investigations typically involve participants solving a problem or a riddle, while researcher attempts to measure, affect, or implant information outside of participant's awareness.
My current interests lie in understanding the neurological mechanisms of attention underlying the management of information inside or outside of the immediate attention focus. My other interest is the role of reinforcement in creative problem solving and whether one could become a better problem solver by implicitly learning to create the appropriate mind set to a problem at hand.
