Advisement for Undergraduates

In the psychology department, our goal is to teach students to take responsibility for their own education. We give you the tools and information you need to make smart decisions about your educational journey at UD.

The undergraduate advisement web pages should be the first place you look to answer your psychology advisement questions. We will continually update this page with announcements, requirements, and information about the curriculum.

HAVING PROBLEMS?
You might have trouble adding an upper level course if
*you're a super senior who didn't have to take PSYC207
*you took STAT200 on campus instead of PSYC209

If you are having trouble registering, you need to send five pieces of information to Judy Fingerle (fingerle@udel.edu) or Lydia Romano (advisement@psych.udel.edu):

1. Your name
2. Your student ID
3. The class you need (e.g., PSYC340-010)
4. The 4- or 5-digit class number for that course and section (found in UDSIS)
5. The reason you need to be manually added to the course.
Please don't get impatient: email ONLY ONE of these two people!

TRYING TO ADD PSYC100?
Many sections of PSYC100 are currently full--additional seats in these sections are being reserved for new students in Fall 2008. If there are open seats in PSYC100 after the new students register (after mid July), they will be opened up to all other students again.

Practice GRE test on March 8th

Saturday, March 8th in Sharp Laboratory, anyone can opt to take a free practice GRE, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, DAT, OAT, or PCAT exam. The LSAT, MCAT, DAT, OAT, and PCAT will begin at 12:00pm and the GRE and GMAT will begin at 1:00pm. In addition, they will receive a complete performance break down, highlighting both their strengths and weaknesses.

Students are encouraged to pre-register so that enough test-material can be ordered.  They can do so by calling 1-800-KAP-TEST, stopping by the Newark Kaplan Center on Main Street, or emailing udpracticetest@gmail.com with their name, email, telephone number, expected graduation date, and the desired practice test that they would like to take.
