Prof. Simons named Editor in Chief of Psychophysiology
Professor Robert Simons, member of the clinical faculty, has been named editor-in-chief of Psychophysiology. Published by Blackwell, Psychophysiology is the top-rated journal in the psychophysiological research area and is the official publication of the Society for Psychophysiological Research (SPR). SPR was established in 1960 and Simons is the 8th Editor of the Journal. Currently Editor-in-Chief of Biological Psychology, Simons will move to Psychophysiology and assumes his duties on January 1, 2006. Recently elected to the SPR Presidency (2007), he describes this double honor as both breathtaking and humbling; he attributes the recognition, in part, to the supportive atmosphere of the department and the university that allows faculty to excel in a wide variety of academic domains and recognizes these accomplishments.
