Psychology Education (B.A.)

The Psychology Education Major is a psychology major (BA), plus additional courses in social sciences, history, and education. It includes a student teaching semester. Upon completion, you are eligible for teaching history and social studies at the secondary schools in Delaware.

Information about this major is available here, at the Social Studies Education website:

Psych Education majors need to pay special attention to information on the the PRAXIS tests and the Learning Portfolio.  Make sure you study the website so that you are up to date on these requirements!

The psych ed checksheet is available here.

We recommend that Psych Ed majors also complete a minor in History, so they are better prepared to teach history classes at the secondary school level.
